Join us for the Maha Shivarathri Festival, a night of spiritual awakening and devotion, to be observed at the Perth Bala Murugan Temple, 12 Mandogalup Road, Mandogalup.
Celebrate the great night of Lord Shiva with an array of traditional rituals, enchanting bhajans, and powerful prayers.
The observances will commence with the daily evening pooja, Rudra Abhishekam and Sri Rudra Homam during the first kaala poojai (first quarter of the night) (from 7.30 pm onwards). Rudra Homam is a fire ritual invoking the blessings of Lord Shiva, and chanting of Sri Rudram is believed to have a range of health and spiritual benefits to devotees.
Devotees are also welcome to join in the singing of Sivapuranam and other devotional songs and hymns during this sacred observance. Please register to participate in the fire ritual and/or to perform the “Poornahuti”.
During the second kaala poojai (second quarter of the night) a Sankaabhishekam (bathing Lord Shiva with sacred water filled conch shells) will be held.
Throughout the night devotees will be holding cultural events including debate on a spiritual theme and devotional singing.
Experience the joy of community and spirituality as we come together to celebrate the grand night dedicated for Lord Shiva and seek his blessings for health, prosperity, and peace.
Dinner will be served to devotees at the Temple Food Hall.
